It’s a big long, but worth a read! KAUAI Properties - Our first purchase was a lot in a subdivision in Ha’ena on Kauai developed by renowned actor Sylvester Stallone. Steve found the listing, helped us secure the purchase, and navigate the logistics of building a vacation rental home on the lot. Due to the success of this location as an investment, we purchased 2 additional beachfront lots in this same project and another nearby lot. -A few years later Steve showed us properties in Hanalei Town and we purchased 2 vacation rental homes that were very successful rentals. -Next, we bought a dramatic ocean-view vacation condo in the Princeville Resort, along with 2 vacant lots. -Seacliff Plantation is a quality private gated project in Kilauea, and we bought a 3-acre ocean-view parcel in the subdivision. -One of our best purchases was a beachfront lot in ‘Aliomanu. We made an offer that was countered on the Friday before the Super Bowl. We had until Tuesday to respond. Steve pointed out that the counteroffer could be withdrawn if we waited until Tuesday to sign the counteroffer. We decided to listen to his advice and signed the counter. The lot next to the one we purchased went into escrow over the weekend and the buyer wanted to also buy the lot we had put under contract. We were very lucky we listened to Steve. -What’s more, Steve led us to Kukui’ula. It is the finest quality subdivision on Kauai. We purchased a top-row ocean-view lot in the project. We really enjoyed using the world-class club and amenities on our family trips to Kauai. BIG ISLAND Properties We expanded our investments to the Big Island per Steve’s recommendation. Steve was able to sustain the same level of industry knowledge across different islands – which can be hard to do since every island has its own unique economy and draws different types of tourism. -We met Steve on the island and he took us directly to the World Class Kohala Coast. At the time there was a new development, Pauoa Beach Subdivision (located on the water between what is now the Auberge Resort and the Fairmont Orchid Hotel in the Mauna Lani Resort). This project was an amazing investment and we purchased the FIRST residence sold in Pauoa! A few years later we also purchased a vacant lot in the subdivision. -Steve found unique properties with vast ocean and mountain views in the Upcountry as well. We purchased 3 five-acre lots in a private gated project and 2 nearby vacant lots. MAUI Properties Next, we expanded our investments to Maui. Steve continued to deliver as the best buyer’s agent around. -Steve led us to find a lucrative investment; a 3 bedroom oceanfront vacation rental at Honua Kai in North Ka’anapali Beach. Because we were new to investing on Maui, we set our sights in Wailea and my wife and I were insistent on a different project. Steve collected data on the Wailea property and also presented us with information on a new project – Honua Kai. We are so thankful to Steve for doing this research and due diligence on our behalf because it has proved to be successful. And, after owning this unit and seeing the cash flow, we ended up purchasing 3 more units in Honua Kai.
